Bioidentical Hormone Therapy

bioidenticalhrtlogoBioidentical hormones are hormones that are identical in molecular structure to the hormones human body makes. They typically refer to sex hormones, such as estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. They are best known for their use in treating menopausal symptoms in women, although they can be used for other therapeutic purposes. Bioidentical hormones are available in several different forms, including tablet/capsule, lozenge, topical cream or injectible.

At Song of Natural Medicine, we offer bioidentical hormone therapy to treat a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Menopause
  • Irregular menstrual cycles
  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
  • Other menstrual disorders
  • Infertility
  • Rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune arthritis
  • Low libido
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety
  • Depression

Hormone testing is necessary prior to the therapy. We offer blood tests through conventional laboratories (SonoraQuest, Lapcorp), or salivary tests through specialty labs.

People with personal or family history of certain conditions may not be good candidates for hormone therapy. Dr. Song will be glad to work with you to figure out the best hormone replacement strategy. Give us a call at 480-388-0099 to schedule a consultation.
